The TNVIRJC is an initiative to educate trainees on clinical research studies pertinent to VIR through monthly journal club sessions. Each TNVIRJC session focuses on a randomized clinical trial or meta-analysis (Level 1 Evidence) accompanied by an overview of the relevant disease and intervention.
The journal clubs are hosted by two different medical students (or interest groups) every month, with the aim of involving students from a diversity of institutions. These students create a presentation under the guidance of a VIR physician mentor, who also facilitates a Q&A to close each journal club.
Our mission is to promote accessibility to the specialty by providing a platform for trainees to engage with and learn from each other about the current evidence in VIR.
